Full Day Tour (9hrs)

Travel with us on a tour of the beautiful Florida Everglades as Capt. Jody guides you from the salt marshes of the west coast of Florida to the heart and soul of the Everglades also known as the River of Grass.

We will visit the Miccosukee Indian Reservation where you will have a guided tour of an authentic Indian Village and Museum and observe how the Miccosukee lived in the past and how a few still live today.

Woodcarvings, Beadwork, Patchquilts and other daily activities will be on display.

The Museum has many artifacts for you to see and a short film gives you insight into the Miccosukee Nation and their history.

Alligators, did I forget to mention Alligators?

You will get up close and personal with dozens of Alligators at the village and you will be able to hold a young one if you dare.

After visiting the Main Village and Museum you will be ready to travel on the River of Grass aboard one of the many Airboats that are on site.

The reeds and sawgrass help slide the Airboat along the shallow crystal clear water. many wading birds and sometimes Otter and Deer can be seen on the ride so make sure to bring your cameras or binoculars.

The Airboat Captains will give us a thriling ride as we travel to an authentic Miccosukee Hammock(hardwood island village) that has belonged to the Tigertail Clan for over one hundred years.

After all this excitement you should be ready for a hearty meal at the Miccosukee restaurant with its many tasty dishes like Alligator or Froglegs. My favorite is the Pumpkin Bread. For the less adventurous they offer a standard American fare.

We depart from Salty Sam's Marina and return you to the point of departure.
